Africa
North Africa
North Africa is larger than the desert people imagine. The Sahara is here, but so are Atlas cedar forests, rocky wadis, Atlantic sea caves, Mediterranean lagoons, Sahel-edge grasslands, and Nile Delta wetlands. A Barbary macaque in mountain snow and a flamingo in saltwater both belong to the same regional argument.
Its wildlife is often defined by scarcity, refuge, and edge. Fennec foxes listen through sand, addax carry the memory of vast antelope range, monk seals surface from cave shadow, and the Northwest African cheetah survives like a pale rumor across desert strongholds.
