Africa
Southern Africa
Southern Africa is a study in contrast: Kalahari sand, Okavango water, Cape coast, rocky outcrops, and Lowveld savannas. It can hold rhinos and penguins, meerkats and hornbills, desert cats and fish eagles without forcing them into one mood.
The animals here make adaptation feel physical. Meerkats watch from open ground, gemsbok carry dry-country elegance, African penguins bring the coast into the chapter, and rhinos give the region both weight and urgency.
